The Project Surveyor will be leading the survey department related to specific offshore wind cable installation projects, and other supplementary service projects. The role will include the development of main methodologies and equipment / spread requirements, operation and maintenance procedures etc., related to vessel-mounted survey equipment, as well as survey equipment mobilized on or in conjunction with ROVs, trenchers, and / or other subsea survey vehicles.
The Project Surveyor will also be responsible for developing cable route planning, micro-routing, final project reporting based on project-specific requirements etc., and reviewing and scrutinizing externally procured burial assessment studies, on-bottom stability analyses, etc. The Project Surveyor will be the point of contact towards the client’s survey team, but will be supported internally by the project team.
The Project Surveyor role is expected to be primarily performed from the head office in Fyn, Denmark, but sporadic ad hoc travel to project sites during equipment mobilization, load-out and trials will be expected.
The Project Surveyor will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager on the project, and as such will be expected to be capable of working as part of a team. The Project Surveyor must however as a department lead be comfortable and productive working independently, and the ideal applicant is a self-starting individual.
· Project management experience from offshore wind construction projects.
· Practical offshore experience with cable lay, burial, and/or operations and maintenance.
· Practical offshore experience with ROV, and / or trenching services.
· Practical experience with mobilization, calibration, operation, and maintenance of survey equipment related to offshore wind cable lay, and burial.
· Sea Survival, STCW VI.1-1,1-4
· Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or similar or other relevant education.
· Fluency in written and verbal communication in English.
